With Intent is a small, deliberate room. It is paid, on purpose: an app that helps you leave earns less than one that keeps you scrolling, and we would rather earn less.

01 · Reading
There is no swiping and no feed. Each day you are shown a small, finished set of people, and you read each profile from top to bottom, including what has been verified about them. The choices appear only once you reach the end.
02 · Asking
To reach someone you write to them, 15 to 200 characters, about what you actually noticed. The person you write to reads your words before anything else about you. Nobody gets a request from a stranger who simply tapped.
03 · Five connections
You can have five connections, and you can always see them, occupied or open. The limit is on your attention, not on the number of people. To meet someone new, you close someone properly first. There is no way to buy a sixth.
04 · Conversation
Every conversation begins with why it started. Messages are set as writing, not bubbles. There are no read receipts and no typing indicators. You have 48 hours to reply, and so do they.
05 · Endings
Closing a connection means choosing a reason and confirming in plain words. It is permanent and mutual: you and that person will not appear to each other again. Nobody is left wondering.
06 · Standing
You see a label, never a number. It reflects how you treat people: whether you reply, how quickly, whether you close things properly. It comes with a plain explanation, and if you think it is wrong, you can appeal to a person.

Who it is for
Adults, roughly thirty to fifty-five, who want a partner and are tired of apps built for volume. Some of you are divorced or separated. Some are widowed, or have simply been single a long time.
If you want to browse, this is the wrong place. If you want to meet someone, and would like the app to help you get there and then get out of the way, it may be the right one.

An app that is free is paid for by your attention, so it is built to keep it. Ours is paid for by members, so it can be built to help you leave. Every level gets the same five slots and the same Discovery.
It is stored in Canada. We do not collect GPS or precise location. Identity documents are checked and then discarded. There are no ads, and we do not sell data. Read the privacy policy.
Then the app tells you so. Deal breakers are absolute, and we would rather show you nobody than show you near-misses.
